When it comes search engines, google is still the king, and they are doing everything they can to maintain their lead,   in the name of providing more relevant search results for it’s users, according to their official blog, this change impacts 11.8% organic search results, in another word, almost 12% of google search results are useless or of low quality. They planned and started the update about one year ago, and recently I see some of my ranks were lowered considerably, but almost all the ranks promoted by articles and blog posts were not affected, and a few of them even gained a few positions, it becomes clear that link building the old way is the thing of past, probably due to links crammed sites being downgraded by google.

What is old way of link building any way? There are a lot of SEO company out there are doing this, they add your links to those linking websites without context, the content on those sites will never be updated, and most of them are useless, we call these sites link spamming sites. Now google algorithm probably will weed out these sites, any links on them will be affected too. 

Examples will be great for explanation. In the very beginning, I didn’t know better, I started promote the keyword, Coil Chains, at that time almost every body was doing plain linking campaign, lately I figured that every site in the campaign had way too many links, and those sites had only links, no real content at all. I would give credit where credit is due, this linking strategy worked, finally the rank improved a lot, this was the case until google made the change. Something opposite happened to this keyword, chain puller , most back links for this keyword are from articles and posts, with very few plain links, the rank for this keyword is making me real happy. Now contextual links win the battle, then what? In fact the only thing matters here is content, as long as you dole out high quality content, not only people will love to read your stuff, so do the search engines. How do you do it?
