Who was the man during the Vietnam War who was a Vietnamese who was given a new ID and is now American?

Yes, the Vietnam War. This man killed somebody live on TV without a trail (so the US public didn’t like this), but before the US left Vietnam they took him back to America and gave him a new ID. Who is this man? A couple years ago they went into Mc. Donalds and found him working there, and he apologized for what he did. Can I have his Original name, but if you cant think of it please can I have his name now?

I think you’re asking about Lt. Col. Nguyễn Loan, police chief of South Vietnam. The man shot was a North Vietnamese officer in civilian clothing… a spy and under the Geneva Conventions: subject to summary execution. Lt. Col. Loan has NOTHING to apologize for.

He moved to Virginia, USA, and opened a pizza restaurant. In 1991, Loan was forced into retirement when his identity was publicly disclosed. Photographer Eddie Adams recalled that on his last visit to the pizza shop, he had seen written on a restroom wall, "We know who you are, f***er".

The picture was a sensation. It became a political statement, printed and reprinted, appearing on placards at anti-war demonstrations and used by anti-war advocates as an example of the kind of allies the U.S. had in Vietnam. One writer described it: The shot not heard ’round the world, but seen ’round the world.
What never caught up with the impact of the picture was the fact that in the first hours of the Tet Offensive before Loan shot the man, Vietcong had beheaded a Vietnamese colonel and killed his wife and six children.

The photo was shot by Photographer Eddie Adams, working his third stint for AP in Vietnam. HE apologized to Col. Loan for the photograph.

It could be any of Macnamaras or Kennedy’s friends in the puppet Viet Government, many war criminals were hidden by the US in the US after the collapse of the puppet regime set up by JFK and perpetuated by LBJ and Nixon.

What is even more disgusting is that many of these scum "escaped" saigon with stolen , corruptly or illegally gained monies and wealth with american aid and support.

America financed the war and support in the SV government through the transportation and sales of heroin and gold via Laos and Cambodia.

Vietnam was a testiment to the dirty politics of many countries, there are many people who are alive today that should not be due to favours, graft , corruption and other shennanigans by the US as it tries to put Vietnam behind it..

Vietnam was a war based on a lie , perpetuated with lies and finished with lies, Robert Macnamara ………..may you rot in hell .
